Dear Friends

I am sorry that I do not post regularly. I am sorry that I am not an awesome blogger like the people I stalk. Sometimes it makes me feel like a bad person that I don't let you in on every detail of our life. I know I should probably be better about sharing our fun adventures and happy pictures, but the fact is, I am just lazy. I also happen to write every night in my journal (yes - I still write in a journal. A real, paper and pen, spiral notebook, lined paper journal) so the thought of duplicating all my thoughts onto Blogger for you seems a little too much for me and I usually choose to cop out of that option since I am, again, pretty lazy right now.

I wonder where people get the time and energy to blog as much as they do. I mean, kuddos to them, really. I admire that. It also gives me something to keep me entertained with while I am at work. I love it. But then it makes me remember that I haven't written in my blog for two or three weeks, and then I feel guilty.

I also apologize that I don't post pictures like I always say I'm going to. I promise. I'll post them eventually. ;-)

Also, do you think I should change my blog layout/background? I really am considering it because right now it's kind of hard to read and is a little too busy. What think ye?

Also also, I am enjoying my book "The Horse and His Boy," part of the Chronicles of Narnia series. It has taken me, oh...3 years probably to get to book number three. That is sad. But I really am enjoying this book. Once I got into it, that is.

I also just got registered for school at UVU. This is a cause for rejoicing! I really had meant to make a big and glorious post about this, but I guess that's why I also fail at Blogging consistently because I am always wanting to do something bigger than what I have patience for. So here it is. I am going to school at UVU, and they're not just online classes. This is actually really exciting!! Oh how I have missed real classes with real people and real note-taking and real professors and just that whole atmosphere of actually going to school. I really like school. I just wish money were free and I could go to school all the time and not worry about bills. By the way, remind me I said that in a month or two when I am hating school and homework.

Things I am also excited for:
- Camping for Labor Day weekend with the fam and sleeping in the trailor. Good memories.
- Fall. This includes pumpkins/jack-o-lanterns/pumpkin seeds, corn mazes, and Halloween. After Halloween comes Thanksgiving. This year has gone by so fast already.
- Scotty starting school.
- The State Fair.
- Possibly a new car???

I Know

I know that right now I am probably eating the most unhealthy thing in the world: greasy breadsticks dipped in ranch.
I also know that right now, I really don't care. It is soooooo good!!!

Scary Much?

So on the long flight back from Chicago to Salt Lake City, we must have hit a bumpy spot because the pilot turned the "Buckle Your Seatbelt" on about an hour into the flight. I didn't think too much of it, I just closed my eyes and prayed that the turbulence would be over soon. Then the flight attendant came on over the intercom and told us that they would also be sitting down and buckling in, and everyone else who may be out of their seat should do the same, and that we were going through some storms and it may be a little bumpy for a while.

Oh Great.

So I figured I would just try to sleep to make it go by faster.

After a little while, my husband woke me up and pointed out the window: "That's what we just came through."

Ahh! Scary much?? Very much yes! I am so glad we survived!!

This Is It

Well you guys...I did it. I am no longer a student at Utah State University. I knew this day was coming, and it makes me sad. It was a hard decision to make, but the want/need to stay in Utah Valley was greater than the want/need for Utah State/Logan, not to mention getting a music degree is pretty tough online. I know I will miss Utah State. I have soooo many memories there. That was a brand new life for me, and I learned so many valuable lessons and made so many even more valuable friends. Of course, the friends we'll keep in touch with. But for now, I reluctantly turn toward the Wolverine and convince myself that what I am doing is right. Yay for a new year of school and excitement and OH YEAH!! My husband Scotty got accepted into the...

UVU AVIATION PROGRAM

Less than 7 days until we get on that plane headed out for West Virginia!!!

Less than...

...Two Weeks til we go on Vacation to West Virginia/Virginia/Washington DC!!

...Two Months until Scotty finally, really, and officially starts school at UVU!!
(I only say two months because it is still only slightly more than one month until school starts and we can't really claim the one month just yet.)

...6 months until my birthday!

...One Year until Scotty has another birthday!

How fun is that, you guys??

Oh, I also realize that I have not yet put up pictures from the 4th of July. I've been a bit spacey lately. Sorry.

Notice how I didn't put any promises up there like, "I promise I'll do better next time" or "I promise I'll put the pictures up as soon as I get off work" ? That's because I don't think I'll really be good about keeping those promises. Better just keep me where I am with no promises and that'll help me be a better woman of my word.
