There's so much been going on lately, and when will I ever get around to telling you all about it? I think the main thing holding me back is the issue of uploading pictures, and how much effort that takes, but how I can't tell the story without pictures!
I really, really like my new background/design. I love how it is light and reminiscent of Springtime. My husband and I lately have been really into doing things in the outdoors. We've always loved going shooting, but added on this year is the new excitement for camping. We both grew up going camping and loved it, but I think we were still too much in the newly-wed phase last summer to want to go out camping at all, not to mention that we still both had really crazy schedules that were impossible to coordinate together.
This summer I am actually really, very excited for! We just bought new sleeping bags (and they are niceee!) and inherited a tent, camp stove, and lantern from my parents, which saves us about $100 right there. Ohhh, I was so happy when I found that out! Scott and I both have really nice schedules to work with, it makes it a lot easier to go out on the spur of the moment. We also have two guns now, which will be lots of fun camping with ;-) .
In addition to working out more (this is actually starting the 5th week I've been...a little...consistent in my exercising!), I have more energy, which definitely makes me really want to go hiking everywhere and go backpacking! Nothing is more fun than living out of a backpack for a couple days.
I have also been diligently working on putting together a 72-hr kit for me and Scott, however, the backpack I bought is just a bit too small and barely fits any of the essentials, not to mention socks, underwear, or a jacket! I guess I'll have to go out and search around for a good-sized backpack that will fit stuff for both of us so that when the time comes, we won't have to worry about grabbing two packs - just one, big, heavy one, haha.
But it's been lots of fun, I really enjoyed spending a little extra money and buying stuff for our 72-hr kit that will be totally worth it if/when the time calls for it. I actually feel a lot of comfort in knowing that even though there are no clothes in our kit, it is stocked with the absolute essentials and we can grab it on the way out the door.
Anyway, this post has been a little longer than I planned, but Scott is still playing his Ace Combat game that he is so close to beating and I am still sweaty from the gym and don't want to go to bed just yet. I do need to update my blog more often. It's just fun to be able to read about what's going on, even if it is just me doing the reading :-P .
Signing out for now, and I can't wait for warm weather!
